About WSHS
Inspiring Young Minds to Connect with Language, Culture & Heritage
Founded in 1995 under the Australian Hindu Multicultural Association Inc (AHMA), and run by a volunteer PTA of parents and teachers.
Our story
The Australian Hindu Multicultural Association Inc. (AHMA) School of Language, Arts & Culture, popularly known as Western Sydney Hindi School (WSHS), has been nurturing language, culture, and community values for over 30 years.
Operating from Quakers Hill High School every Sunday, WSHS helps students learn Hindi while developing a deeper appreciation for Indian culture, traditions, and heritage.
Through engaging language classes, cultural programs, festivals, music, dance, and community activities, we create a vibrant environment where learning goes beyond the classroom.
Founder of our School
AHMA was established in 1993 to promote social, cultural, religious, and educational initiatives for communities with Indian heritage.
Recognising the importance of language, arts, and culture, AHMA founded the Western Sydney Hindi School (WSHS), which has grown from humble beginnings into a well-established and respected institution. Since opening in July 1994 with just 4 students and 1 teacher (Mr Sajna Nand , our Founder), the school has expanded steadily and has proudly operated from Quakers Hill High School since 2008.
Mission
It is Our Purpose to Ensure that our Students Learn their mother-tongue Hindi Language and Grow up as Proud Individuals of Indian Heritage!
